Mistelle (partially fermented grape juice, added alcohol) is infused with quinine, sweet potato and other ingredients found in the area around the Grand Chartreuse Mountains. Golden mahogany appearance. Good intensity, a touch of flower, quinine, citrus fruit and herbs. Balances sweetness touch of blood orange peel, black currant, quinine, herbs and a fine bitterness.
Dolin is among the few remaining independent producers of Vermouth and the last producing Vermouth de Chambéry, still made according to the principles which earned Chambéry France's only Appellation d’Origine Controllée. Their bitters are the result of an infusion of herbs, aromatic plants and fruit in neutral alcohol and wine. Made to the same base of recipes since 1821, Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry has long been the benchmark for fine Vermouth. Inventors of the Blanc (White Vermouth), Dolin is equally famous for its very light, pale Dry. In the late 19th century, Dolin won medals in Paris, London, St. Louis and Philadelphia and in 1932 earned Chambéry France's only Appellation d' Origine for Vermouth. Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry is made of fine wines and botanicals found in the Alpine meadows above Chambéry (France). Together they impart a fresh and elegant nose, with a subtle and complex palate. Ideal as an aperitif or in cocktails.
