One of the best selling rums on Martinique (no small feat considering how much is produced there). Aged a minimum of 3 years in Limousin oak barrels, it has a bronze color and a supple, medium body. The rum is aromatic; an intense mix of spice, vanilla, molasses and oak.
St James one of oldest and largest distilleriy in Martinique Island (Caribbean Island). It is a Saint-James slogan in honour of Martinique and it's simply the truth. Its story and taste highlight this island blessed with rum. Besides being a primordial part of Martinique's economy, Saint-James is also one of its cultural element. Every day, thanks to the media and its spirit of initiatives, Saint-James contributes to reading, singing and entertaining manifestations by sponsoring shows, traditional fairs and games. Martinique beats to Saint-James' tune, while it drinks the St James âAgricoleâ Rum.
The AOC Rhum Agricole de la Martinique restricts production to the short best season for the cane to pack aromas, compels that all and only the fresh juice of the cane be used, contrary to 95% of the world rums using the left-overs (Molasses, stalks) of the sugar refining industry. Agricole Rum belongs to the world of cognac or Armagnac, whenever Traditional Rum (also known as Industrial) is in the grappa / pomace world.
